About
My name is Kait, and I’m a graduate of Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine. I came to Chinese Medicine through a longstanding interest in healing and the body’s ability to change when given the right support. I was drawn to Classical Chinese Medicine for its depth and the way it looks beyond isolated symptoms to the larger patterns affecting health.
Before training in Chinese medicine, I spent years working with my hands, studying across disciplines, and working with children with a wide range of needs. Those experiences taught me to slow down and look closely, with respect for how different each person’s needs can be.
I grew up on Hatteras Island and later made my home in the Appalachian Mountains. Those landscapes have shaped me and continue to remind me that change is natural, but it often takes time.
I’m especially interested in the ways stress, trauma, and long-term imbalance can take shape in the body.

Follow-up appointments continue the work started in the initial visit. They allow time to check in and adjust treatment as needed. -

Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a form of Chinese medicine that uses very fine needles to help the body regulate and recover. Treatments are based on what you’re experiencing, what I observe, and how your symptoms fit into the larger picture of your health.

Moxibustion
Moxibustion, often called moxa, is a traditional therapy that uses the heat of dried mugwort near specific points on the body. It is used to warm, strengthen, and encourage movement when the body feels cold, depleted, or stuck.

Cupping
Cupping uses suction on the skin to increase circulation and release tension. It is often used for pain, tightness, muscle soreness, and areas where the body feels congested or restricted.

Gua Sha
Gua sha is a manual therapy that uses repeated strokes along the skin with a smooth-edged tool. It is used to promote circulation, release tension, and help move areas of tightness, pain, or stagnation.

Tui Na
Tui na uses hands-on techniques to work with the muscles, joints, and channels of the body. It can be used to relieve tension, improve circulation, support mobility, and help address pain.
